A poster for Graphic Design II. The goal was to sway someone's opinion on an issue we felt strongly about. The website name at the bottom is not an actual site, but is merely meant to help get the point of the poster by through its name.

Awesome. It was my wall paper for quite some time. If you or anyone else needs it in a different resolution (larger or a different aspect ratio, for instance) leave a comment here and I'll crank one out. I've still got the original vector file which can be easily modified.

I disagree. Real violence in schools has been on the decline because we have better control on games then when we did before. I once read a study that found that children have a deeper physiological response to games with blood effects turned on. They were playing some Mortal Kombat where the blood could be turned off and on, and they monitored the vitals of various kids who played them. Granted, I don't believe that violent games are the real issue for kids who learn violence from them, it's all in the parenting. Nevertheless, games do play a role in the development of children.

Honestly, I didn't even fact check to make sure real violence was on the decline when I made this. That said, I personally think there's no *significant* relationship between violent games and violent children/teens/people. There are a ton of factors which go into whether or not someone is violent, such as how they were raised, how much stress their under, whether or not they've been bullied, etc. Violent games are the easy scapegoat for politicians that don't understand them and parents that don't want to bother with parenting. Games can of course be one of the many factors that lead to it, but so can movies, dark poetry, music, books, or even just getting a bad candy bar on the wrong day.

But thanks for the comment on the design though! I struggled through the conception phase of this project; I probably went through about 15 major directions it could have went. As usual, the simple approach was the most effective.

De grazi. It's currently residing on my locker and hopefully I can learn the silk screen process from Shellie and make a shirt out of this or something. I like how it turned out quite a bit.
